AABP - American Association of Bovine Practitioners is composed of veterinarians interested in bovine medicine.

AAEP - American Association of Equine Practitioners is the world's largest professional association of equine veterinarians. The AAEP's mission is to improve the health and welfare of the horse, to further the professional development of its members, and to provide resources and leadership for the benefit of the equine industry.

AAFHV - American Association of Food Hygiene Veterinarians is an organization of veterinarians whose professional activities and interests encompass the many contributions of veterinary medicine to a hygienic food supply.

AASRP - American Association of Small Ruminant Practitioners provides a single forum for those with interest in small ruminants, where we can exchange ideas, share knowledge and together set goals and objectives that will benefit the industry as a whole.

AASV - American Association of Swine Veterinarians

AAVC - American Association of Veterinary Clinicians is an organization of veterinary clinicians who are engaged in teaching and/or research at the professional, graduate or postgraduate level. This includes faculty in clinical departments at veterinary schools and colleges and practices and institutions involved in the education of veterinarians in internships and residencies.

AAVMC - Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges coordinates the national and international affairs of all veterinary medical colleges in the United States and Canada, eight departments of veterinary science, eight departments of comparative medicine, two animal medical centers, and three international colleges of veterinary medicine. They foster the teaching, research and service activities of their members, both nationally and internationally.

AVMA - American Veterinary Medical Association established in 1863, is a not-for-profit association representing more than 69,000 veterinarians working in private and corporate practice, government, industry, academia, and uniformed services. Structured to work for its members, the AVMA acts as a collective voice for its membership and for the profession.

AVMLA - American Veterinary Medical Law Association is a national association of attorneys, veterinarians, and other individuals and organizations with an interest in veterinary medical law and how it pertains to the veterinary profession and allied fields.

KCVMA - Kansas City Veterinary Medical Association

KSU CVM - Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine established in 1905 the college's nationally recognized instructional and research programs provide the highest standards of professional education.

KBVE - Kansas Board of Veterinary Examiners is Kansas' state licensing board that promotes public health, safety, and welfare relative to the practice of veterinary medicine.

KVTA - Kansas Veterinary Technicians Association is a network of vet tech professionals that can provide support for one another.

NAFV - National Association of Federal Veterinarians is recognized as the representative organization for veterinarians employed by the federal government.

NCVEI - National Commission on Veterinary Economic Issues is dedicated to helping you deliver better patient care by providing you results-driven, interactive economic tools.

SAVMA - Student American Veterinary Medical Association is the student chapters of the American Veterinary Medical Association.

SCAVMA - Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association at Kansas State University, is the local chapter of SAVMA, the Student American Veterinary Medical Association.

SFT - Society for Theriogenology is dedicated to furthering advances in the science and practice of animal reproduction. Their members are veterinarians and veterinary students with a special interest in the reproduction of all domestic species.

US CVM's - U.S. Schools and Colleges of Veterinary Medicine that are accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association.

USAHA - United States Animal Health Association is a science-based, non-profit, voluntary organization. Its 1,400 members are state and federal animal health officials, national allied organizations, regional representatives, and individual members. USAHA works with state and federal governments, universities, veterinarians, livestock producers, national livestock and poultry organizations, research scientists, the extension service and seven foreign countries to control livestock diseases in the United States. USAHA represents all 50 states, 7 foreign countries and 18 allied groups serving health, technical and consumer markets.

VSO - Veterinary Specialty Organizations are where veterinarians go to complete the process of board certification in an AVMA-recognized veterinary specialty organization (ie, board or college).

Government Organizations

CDC – Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is recognized as the lead federal agency for protecting the health and safety of people - at home and abroad, providing credible information to enhance health decisions, and promoting health through strong partnerships. CDC serves as the national focus for developing and applying disease prevention and control, environmental health, and health promotion and education activities designed to improve the health of the people of the United States.

DEA– The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency is the agency responsible for enforcing the controlled substances laws and regulations of the United States.

EPA - Environmental Protection Agency is to protect human health and the environment.

FDA - U.S. Food and Drug Administration is responsible for protecting the public health by assuring the safety, efficacy, and security of human and veterinary drugs, biological products, medical devices, our nation’s food supply, cosmetics, and products that emit radiation. The FDA is also responsible for advancing the public health by helping to speed innovations that make medicines and foods more effective, safer, and more affordable; and helping the public get the accurate, science-based information they need to use medicines and foods to improve their health.

FDA CVM - Food and Drug Administration Center for Veterinary Medicine regulates the manufacture and distribution of food additives and drugs that will be given to animals.

FEMA - Federal Emergency Management Agency

OSHA - Occupational Safety & Health Administration mission is to assure the safety and health of America's workers by setting and enforcing standards; providing training, outreach, and education; establishing partnerships; and encouraging continual improvement in workplace safety and health.

USDA APHIS AC - United States Department of Agriculture Animal Plant Health Inspection Service Animal Care is responsible for protecting and promoting U.S. agricultural health, administering the Animal Welfare Act, and carrying out wildlife damage management activities.

USDA FSIS - United States Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service is the public health agency in the U.S. Department of Agriculture responsible for ensuring that the nation's commercial supply of meat, poultry, and egg products is safe, wholesome, and correctly labeled and packaged.
